Neem oil is cold-pressed from the fruits and seeds of the Neem Tree. It is native in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. A multipurpose oil, neem is popular in skin care, plant usage and as a bug repellent, and is known around the world for its unique smell. Neem oil solidifies in cold weather and may have a thicker consistency in the jar. If your Neem oil solidifies, you may place the jar in warm water.
Neem Oil has been used in natural skin care for thousands of years. It is highly treasured in India and Southeast Asia for its healing properties and is used in skin care because it is packed with nutrients and contains high levels of antioxidants that help to protect the skin from environmental damage. Neem oil has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties. It is an excellent moisturizing oil as it absorbs quickly and can rejuvenate the skin.
Instructions: Before using Neem oil on the body, do a patch test on your arm. To perform a patch test, mix a couple drops of neem oil with water or liquid soap. Apply the mixture to a small area of skin on the arm or the back of the hand. If you do not develop any signs of irritation, redness, swelling or allergic reaction within 24 hours, it should be safe to use on your body.
Application: For acne, fungal infections, warts and moles add a few drops of neem oil on a cotton ball and let it soak on the skin for 20 minutes and wash off with warm water. You may use it daily until desired results are met.
Neem oil is very potent, so it is highly recommended to mix with EQUAL PARTS of a carrier oil when applying to large parts of the body.
Instructions: Mix 2 TBSP (1 oz) of Neem Oil per gallon of water plus 2 teaspoons of mild liquid soap per gallon as an emulsifier. Shake well.
Application: Spray the diluted solution on the leaf surfaces with a light coat until fully coated. Use Neem oil on your plants about once a week or every 2 weeks. Always spot test plants first for sensitivity to sprays. Do not apply Neem Oil in direct sunlight.
Neem oil protects plant leaves from blight. Blight causes leaves to appear that they have been burnt.
Neem Oil is known to keep mosquitos and bugs away. It rids all types of bugs even in the larvae stage.
Instructions: Mix 2 TBSP (1 ounce) neem oil with 2 teaspoons of liquid soap or castile soap per gallon of water for bug repellent.
Application: Lightly spray Neem Oil solution over your skin to be used as a bug repellent.
